The Homeland :: Home Forum Name Topics Posts Last Post Freedom's Gate The Law These are the rules of The Homeland, as well as some guidelines to help you get started if you need any help. Please read them before making your characters or posting anywhere on the site. 0 0 The Story Here is where the in character plot of The Homeland is located. This is also where you can find a brief history of TH as an rpg over the years, if you feel like reading that kind of thing. 0 0 Your Legend Story Writer (1 sub-board) After reading the rules and plot, this is where you will post your character's biography, joining post, or whatever you'd like to refer to it as. Please use the form provided to make for easy character acceptance. 0 0 Records (2 sub-boards) This is where the hierarchy is located, which tells which horses are apart of which herd and which horses are loners. There is also a list of deceased horses here. There is a thread where members can post to notify staff of changes in the lists so they can update them. 0 0 Outskirts Herdlands Green Mountain The central focal point of The Homeland, Green Mountain is that tallest landform that can be seen for miles. All that is and ever was The Homeland has evolved around this mountain and the mysteries and memories it holds within it's slowly eroding sides. On the north side is the Herdlands, and to the south is the Outskirts. Green Mountain itself belongs to the Herdland territories. 0 0 Zukura Brook This timeless river skillfully carves it's way through the fields and small forests on the north and east sides of Green Mountain. It was originally named after an old mare that was killed somewhere along it's banks by a pack of wolves. Zukura's waters glisten and sparkle in the sunlight, and her grasses grow tall and green. This stream is one of the more famous landmarks in The Homeland. 0 0 Lake Reflection Lake Reflection is the largest water body in The Homeland, and it lies on the north side of Green Mountain near Overcast Forest. Deer and Moose are commonly seen drinking from this lake's clear waters, but beware of these seemingly gentle creatures, for they don't enjoy disruption to their careless tranquility, and have been known to fight back when threatened. At night, if one listens closely, Loons can be heard calling out to each other as they drift like ghosts along the water. 0 0 Nevrak Pasture This large field is home to many different types of wildflowers and grasses. Although this place may seem perfect already, it can get very dry in the mid-summer months, and sometimes the plants start to wither away in the heat before winter begins to take them. This area has a reputation for being extremely windy year-round. 0 0 Cynfra Meadow In this quiet and tranquil meadow, sunlight dances peacefully through the tree branches, and birds chirp and twitter as they coast along the breeze. Many mares enjoy taking their young foals here to this safe, beautiful, wildflower-covered clearing to interact with others for the first time, or just to relax in a peaceful environment. 0 0 Euthalia Streams This connecton of small streams run through a large unnamed field near the Satin Marshes, and the wildflowers that grow here in the summer attract large populations of butterflies, thus giving the area it's name. 0 0 Neon Falls Where spectrum creek comes to a halt, it's waters are carried swiftly over this small waterfall and over into a pond that lies below. The ground is very wet here in the spring, and the shallow waters here freeze over quickly in the winter, making the pond itself safe to walk on. When the time is right, a rainbow can be seen among the crashing waters of the falls, thus giving this waterfall it's name. 0 0 Overcast Forest This large forest covers much of the far northern and eastern sides of the Herdland territories. Made up of several different kinds of trees, this forest is home to all kinds of mountain wildlife, including bears and your occasional mountain lion. Avoiding these creatures and their territories would be a wise decision. 0 0 April Valley This vast terrain coats the Heardland's midsection in grasses and small streams. Some places in the ground are rocky, so be careful not to trip. Overall, this area is vastly unexplored. There are many hidden streams that have been unnamed, and there are small scattered forests that no horse has ever set hoof in. Dare to explore? 0 0 Satin Marshes The Satin Marshes are more or less a moss-covered area of wetlands. Tall, scraggly grey trees rise up from the muck like arms reaching for the sky, and many odd plants grow along with the moss underfoot. 0 0 Miscellaneous Randoms Basically a chat board. Yeah. Guests can post here too for now, but if I get pissed off, no more guesties.
